Behind the scenes

Just watched the movie HULK today. Whoa! i wont ever forget the massive strength and energy that rolled along with the entire movie...

Fantastic, awesome...Pull out a synonyms dictionary for the rest of the words. It is it.

It is the usual good versus evil, but still i wanna know something more.

Now, movie aside.
I wish i could go behind the scenes and take a peek.

Into those freezing cold rooms with massive computers forever measuring pixels in X and Y scales, with navigation boxes, constant zooming -ins and zooming-outs. And file sizes soaring to whichever byte it could get to and all those terms that few movie goers would care to associate with their movie time. System hang, system crash, contrast, textures, shades and lighting, frames, and constant ctrl+ S....and months and a few years of this alone...phew. God knows i wouldn't survive the tour for too much exhaustion. I've never been there, but imagine...what lies there?

Just the thought of people working days and nights can make you want to hit snooze and sleep right on.

Ever thought of that?

For the near two hours you warm the theatre seat popping pop corn in your mouth and sipping cola and adding to your waistline, the credits that roll later have no look-see!!!

I know someone who has a job sorta like this, and seeing the time and energy and detail that goes in, i feel that they deserve more than just silly reviews, or paying for the tickets and commenting on the scenes, especially during the movie....if we wanted comments, they certainly would have a had a professional do it, like during a football match.

I mean, what is with the reviews? Just because someone, wearing one heel too high, didn't like the color of something, poof! goes down the rating!

I bet the person with the pen in hand never held a still-camera still enough or drew a straight line with a digital paint-brush!! So much for the stars. Is that all they are worth?
It is all fine and dandy giving reviews through gold rimmed-glasses, warning people of wasting their time over something that cost passion, time and energy of people whose names roll away in a second at the end of the movie...
And.
The gall of the theaters for switching on the lights before the credits roll!!!
That is part of the movie!! It would do justice if we killed them all before we ever thought that movie would come into existence. Then let's see how many movies we will get to watch. Period.

Just maybe, if we all sat two more minutes to sleep through those names, we will be paying respect due those hands, eyes and brains that were glued to the computer screens for hours, so we could rant our comments on....
I want to stay and let the credits roll. Care to join me?

I learnt to see this way, from a teacher of mine in college, when my friends were making their documentaries and news bulletins. It hurt them to see people walk out on their names rolling on the screen.

Every day i encounter enough instances that drive me mad.

Who doesn't?
You have a bad start to your day.
You woke with a sprain in your back, You have to squeeze the tooth paste for that last bit of paste,
there is no hot water, and the over head tank just got empty...
The breakfast is not your favorite, and then again, you are late, so you might as well skip that unpleasant meal which you realize would have saved you that migraine at work.
You dash for the bus--barely missing it or you are so very late, and there are no buses but have little money to take a cab and all you can do, is wait...there comes a point in all of this, that you just want to throw your hands in the air and scream "I give up!" sometimes, well, most times, you just give up silently...i mean, why all this haste and heart ache to get to a job that you have no desire to be in...?

Ok, not every one hates their job as much as i do.
it has altered my lifestyle so drastically, i hate living altogether!

But then in all that, in the midst of all that getting pushed around, and harsh words that rip your heart every now and then, of seeing your faults and mistakes not only through your eyes but always, most often, through the ones you have come to dislike to the core, of being gossiped about, of making the bad impression, in all this...there is one thing i am reassured about.

I am human. So are they.

What is more reassuring is, I am more human than they could ever be. Because, being where i have been, seeing what i have seen, putting up with what i have put up with, and dealing everyday with such people and conditions and extremities with only 20 or so many years behind me, i will never let myself become one of them.
I am different. I am Special.
I deal with the the world in a way no one else ever does. That sets me apart.
I wait for the day when i can avenge myself. But how different am i from those very people i detest?
Time will tell. Once you deal. It is dealt.
You just have to do it right, and you have to be right before you can point out someone else's black points. It may be asking for perfection...
I am getting there.
